Technical Support Specialist
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Specialist with experience in SharePoint, databases, Microsoft 365, Jira, and VBA to support the Results Oriented Monitoring (ROM) project, which was awarded to an ICCS-led Consortium. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the European Commission's accountability and management capacities, providing an external opinion on project implementation, and supporting EU Delegations' and Headquarters' services.

POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, and network, and maintaining various IT systems and services. As our ideal candidate, you will be customer-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
ASSETS
Working knowledge of French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese, as well as experience with or within International Organizations, would be desirable.
WORKING CONDITIONS
We offer a balanced combination of office presence and tele-working, an office centrally located in Brussels, and a standard office environment with shared space. Working hours can be discussed with the HR manager.
CONTRACT
The contract is until June 2024 (renewable), and the desirable start date is July 2023.

POSITION SUMMARY

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administration and further development of internal IT systems including SharePoint, databases, Microsoft 365, and Jira.
- Technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support end-users with remote access and telecommuting technologies.
- Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date documentation of all IT processes and procedures.
- Monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Developing and maintaining IT inventory tracking and asset management systems.
- Delivery of Webinars related to increased productivity when using IT tools.
- Automation of internal processes.
- Other functions (cooperation with IT contractors and service providers, etc.).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid working permit for Belgium
- Higher Education degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or the respective technical education with equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support.
- Experience with SharePoint, databases, Microsoft 365, and Jira.
- Knowledge of other IT tools and databases.
- Experience with remote access and telecommuting technologies.
- Programming knowledge (preferably VBA).
- Good working knowledge of English.
- Responsibility and attention to details.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organisation skills; capabilities to develop several tasks simultaneously; respect of deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team and in a multicultural environment, interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn.
